School
Yay!!!!! Yesterday we received my school books and I started today!! I am extremely excited!
For some reason they sent me 8th grade Lit and the only reason I could think of was because I failed Lit last year. But I'm redoing it now so why do I have to do 8th grade!?!?!?!?!?!
I made Mom sit down last night and make me a schedule so I could start. But for some crazy reason she wrote down stuff for Monday so I had a double day today. But I think I did pretty well. I finished everything but Biology, Lit, and Home Ec. before 3 when Mom and I went to GR.
I had to write a narrative for my grammar about the first time I drove a car. It was fun and I wanted to share it =D
The first time I remember driving a car was this past year. I drove down the driveway to retrieve the mail. It was a thrilling experience.
My heart was beating with excitement as I inserted the key into the ignition. Dad was sitting in the passenger seat and seemed slightly moody. But I didn't care. I was flying high with happiness.
I placed the car into drive and off I went. I did not go above ten miles per hour and my foot hovered over the brake. The happy elation was replaced by nervousness. "What if I run into a tree?" I thought to myself.
I was berated at the end of the drive because I had forgotten to look for cars. But I pulled up beside the mailbox with ease and only a little fear that I would run into it. Dad removed the mail from the box and I was once again nervouse. I now had to back up. Dad talked me through it, still in his mood.
I was able to drive back to the house with confidence and when the car was safely parked the stupid smile returned to my face and I was practically skipping as I walked back into the house.
Wow... What fun I have in school =D
Bowling starts January 6th!!!!!!!!!Yay!!!! 2 days after my birthday!!! Woohoo!! I can't wait!!
