Upper Peninsula 2015 - Days 1 & 2

My family and I recently went on a vacation to Michigan's upper peninsula. It was absolutely lovely.

We started in Grand Rapids with cupcakes. These are some delicious cupcakes!

We continued a few miles down the road and found the Fox family to share our cupcakes. And to cuddle with Liam before we left for a week.

I, myself, am pretty impressed with this picture. I was in a moving car, just snapping pictures and trying to enjoy it all and I somehow got this. Perfectly divided.

The absolutely gorgeous view from the hotel. Got to wake up to this every morning, though I didn't quite make it in time for the sunrise most days...

 Day 2
The only day I did witness the sunrise over Lake Huron.

We didn't do much this day. We drove around and found a small, marshy area on Lake Huron and went for a hike.

And back to St, Ignace to walk the pier. 

Everywhere we went was absolutely gorgeous. I love lakes and could spend all day at one, looking for pretty rocks, sinking in the sand, skipping stones. It's just all so lovely. I want to go back now.
